Recently seen on Spicks & Specks, Matthew Hardy is the author of bestselling novel Saturday Afternoon Fever and is currently writing his second book and first screenplay. He has co-hosted the drive shift on sports radio station SEN 116, with Dermott Brereton & Anthony Hudson, then hosted his own show between 6-7pm on NOVA 100 during the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
He sold out both his 2006 Melbourne International Comedy festival show series, titled 'Saturday Afternoon Fever', and his 2005 show series 'Willy Wonka Explained: The Veruca Salt Sessions'.

I wasn't expecting much more than a few easy laughs but was pretty astounded at the amount of different ways Hardy has found to be funny, all while focussing on his nationality. The good and the bad, from past to present, all gets a mention. It's visual, it's varied, it's very very very good. This guy seems to have come from nowhere with one of the brightest debuts in Aussie comedy history. Worth the money by a mile. LOL lots.
This DVD is full-on, seriously funny!

There's a DVD and a CD of the show for the one price, there's comedy animation incororated into the live stand-up performance, there's famous Aussies particpating, there's music from acoustic to beatbox to opera, seriosuly, this is fantastic and very very funny. Original mainly, Highly recommended.
