This is the story of Ben, a typical kid who becomes very atypical after he discovers the Omnitrix, a mysterious alien weapon with the power to transform the wearer into ten different alien species! CAUTION PLOT SPOILERS! Ben 10 Season 3 features all new aliens based on traditional horror monsters! These new aliens appear in a flash of purple lightning, as they are transported to earth by a teleportation device created by the alien Doctor Vicktor. Season 3 also sees the resurrection of Ghostfreak who plots to shroud the earth in darkness with the use of a corrodium beam; projected from a space station and spread across the earth using a transmitter in New Mexico, thus allowing him to rule over the planet! His attempt, however, is thwarted by Ben and Ghostfreak dies once more; due to direct exposure to the sun...but not before his DNA is readded to the Omnitrix.
