As the new magistrate, Laura flounders, but in an effort to be the ‘mother’ of her planned new life, she takes cooking lessons from Diver Dan. However, her first attempt to impress the family is thwarted by a surprising discovery. Meanwhile, Meredith’s niece breezes into town, unmarried, pregnant and facing criminal charges
Disc 2: Episodes 4 - 6.
Sergent Grey is suspicious of one of Pearl Bay’s most admired residents, Bob dreams of being a senator, and feelings run high over the local pool competition. The arrival of Laura’s sister Trudi creates trouble, and an accident caused by a big night out on the town presents Laura with the greatest dilemma she has faced since arriving in Pearl Bay.
Disc 3: Episodes 7 - 9.
Competition develops over Diver Dan with the arrival of his sassy, beautiful ex-wife Dorothy, in town to sue Bob Jelly. Laura decides she is living in a world meant for couples and asks Dan on a date, however Pearl Bay becomes devastated when one of its teenagers dies in a car accident.
Disc 4: Episodes 10 - 13.
Craig enjoys Miranda’s regard when he gets himself involved in an environmental protest, while fire ignites in Bob’s belly when Heather scores the lead role in the local play, starring opposite her old flame Barry Boston. Carmen’s baby is due to arrive, Laura and Dan stop beating around the bush and Meredith suggests to Harold that they do more than hold hands, but wind blows, thunder sounds, a storm brews… something is amiss!
